Honeydew Salsa is my favorite fresh salsa. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good tomato salsa, but this refreshing green melon salsa is sweet and zingy. Pass the chips please! This sweet salsa with salty chips is a match made in heaven.

Was anyone else reluctant to try honeydew as a child? I was about ten years old before I ever even saw a honeydew, and I must say I completely passed on the opportunity to sample what appeared to be an unripe melon. I’m glad to say that I have forgone my aversion to green fruit and now enjoy its distinct flavor among all my melon favorites.
The inspiration for my honeydew salsa came from another melon salsa I tried at a party. I loved the sweet melon with the jalepenos! And with honeydew replacing the tomatoes, the salsa is also less acidic. So I tried it myself, and it immediately became a hit with the family!

One of the keys to a pretty and easily scooped honeydew salsa is small and uniform pieces of fruit. Peppers, cilantro and red onion round out the melon and jalepeno. Slice and dice, baby!
