Lower-fat Brownies from Brownie Mix

To be honest, I only use this recipe to create Mocha Brownie Trifle. Usually I’m all in for rich ingredients, but the lower-fat version of the Mocha Brownie Trifle is just as good!

This recipe was orginally found on the back of Duncan Hines Double Fudge Brownie Mix. But alas, the recipe is no longer featured on the Duncan Hines brownies in my stores, and it’s perturbably difficult to locate on the web. So I’m posting it here for your convenience. And mine.

For the Mocha Brownie Trifle, you add instant coffee crystals to the brownie batter. I’ve included the coffee as optional in this recipe.
